Lakeshore Talent is looking for a Field Service Technician for an Engineering client of ours. This is a direct hire role with the client. This role does require travel up to 75% of time within the State of Colorado, 25% reporting onsite in office in Colorado Springs.
Compensation for this position is $25-$30 per hour.
The Field Service technician will represent the company in a highly professional, consultative and customer-centric way. A career minded, self-starting individual that has the ability to represent to a degree our Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering departments, in addition to having excellent electronic troubleshooting skills. While also demonstrating the ability to rise to a supervisory/managerial level. Primarily, this person will provide customer support, field testing and repair of electronic dynamic message signs and traffic control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Travel to customer sites to perform onsite installation, testing and troubleshooting of dynamic message sign systems located on interstates and local roads.

Coordinate, manage and complete assigned project work orders in a timely manner.

Write routine trip reports, test result reports, and correspondence.

Communicate frequently and effectively with both internal and external customers.

Facilitate on-site or remote training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS

Team oriented, able to work well with coworkers.

Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.

Minimum of one year experience in basic electronics; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in the use of multi meters measuring AC and DC voltage.

Able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.

Proficient with MS Office.

Basic IP network troubleshooting experience.

Basic Linux/Unix command line experience is a plus.

Availability to travel up to 75% to customer sites; able to travel on short notice.

Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to perform in cold, noisy, stressful environments.

Able to work from a bucket truck at heights up to 75 feet.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
