Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to work FULLY REMOTE in a temporary role expected to last 6-8 weeks. We are accepting applications from US based candidates that have 2+ years of prior payroll experience with strong customer service skills! 

 

Pay: $23-$25/hr. 

Hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

Commitment: 6-8 weeks

Equipment: A laptop and 2 monitors will be provided; candidates must have strong and reliable internet access

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review and input time and expenses for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing.

  • Follow-up on any stop-payments alongside calculating any pay adjustments.

  • Ensure that employee payroll and account records are up to date. 

  • Administer rate changes, garnishments and other updates related to employee payroll records. 

  • Answer payroll related questions and inquiries.

  • Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure payroll and employee changes are complete.

  • Prepare and submit invoice entries into vendor portals.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll clients by ensuring all follow-up and action items are completed, payments are received in a timely manner, and concerns or questions are escalated.

  • Provide strong customer service for all clients and employees.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred; PCP designation is a plus!

  • 2 years of prior payroll experience within a fast-paced environment (international payroll experience is a plus!)

  • Experience processing payroll for Vendor Management Systems is desired

  • Superior communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills with intermediate or advanced Excel skills
