Lakeshore talent is searching for a VP of Operations for our client in the fitness industry. This is a brand-new role to support the company’s growth strategy. This is a direct hire, permanent position. 

Salary Range: $185,000-$220,000 plus bonus eligibility 
Location: NY, CA or other state where client has presence
Travel amount: Up to 75%

Candidates must have 10+ years of executive operations leadership experience along with strong experience with multi-unit or franchise experience in a high-growth environment to be considered. 

Position Overview: The Vice President of Operations Services holds a key leadership position responsible for facilitating strategy execution and providing comprehensive support to all operational units within the organization. This role encompasses overseeing training, implementing programs, managing internal communications, and facilitating the launch of new initiatives. The primary objective is to ensure consistent operations across all units, fostering operational excellence, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Act as the primary liaison between field operations and corporate headquarters, facilitating feedback exchange to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with field operations and leadership to streamline operations and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and execute various projects and initiatives, prioritizing efforts between departments and operational units.
  • Establish and maintain an annual project implementation calendar in collaboration with the Leadership Team.

Internal Communication:

  • Develop and maintain internal communication channels, including policies, procedures, safety protocols, and technology implementations.
  • Manage the Operations Manual, ensuring regular updates and incorporating new initiatives.
  • Oversee the internal communication function, including content creation, newsletters, and engagement tools for field personnel.

Training and Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs covering all aspects of operations, safety, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with trainers to ensure consistent training standards across all units.
  • Lead testing, pilot programs, and rollout plans for new initiatives.

New Initiative Launch:

  • Supervise the launch of new initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
  • Coordinate critical path workstreams across departments to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure thorough turnover of new initiatives to operational teams, including comprehensive training.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in multi-unit operations leadership.
  • Proven track record of building effective teams and partnerships to drive results.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to anticipate long-term business impacts.
  • Hands-on operational experience with a focus on efficiency and credibility.
  • Exceptional project management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while overseeing team-managed projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence across the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods and maneuver during onsite assessments.
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 20 lbs.
