Lakeshore Talent is working alongside a reputable hospital system in downtown Chicago, IL and a Patient Access Representative position available. This is a 3 month short term contract to fill in for an internal employee on FMLA. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a passion for healthcare to get their foot in the door with an amazing healthcare company!

 

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months – FMLA leave

PAY: $19/hour

SHIFT: Monday-Friday; 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

Takes upward of 60-100 inbound calls per day using multiple system applications while being monitored by Quality Assurance.
Schedules appointments in Epic, in accordance with AIDET service standards, reviewing the scheduling activity and summarizing the transaction at the end of the call. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any/all of the following duties as well as additional related tasks.

  • Register new patients
  • Schedule Appointments
  • Transfer calls to appropriate personnel
  • Coordinate communication between business units
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service/call center experience
  • Experience in EPIC EMR
  • 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
  • Candidates should be professional, reliable and willing to work

Because this position is in a healthcare setting, immunization records must be up-to-date (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, Covid-19).
