Lakeshore Talent has partnered with a dynamic, values-driven company specializing in upstream unconventional oil and gas investments and production to fill a Business Development Manager role.  This will start as a 6 month contract with the possibility of going perm.  Pay is $38 – $50 per hour base depending on experience with a generous commission structure.

As we expand our footprint in the Fort Worth area, we are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth and foster strong relationships within the commercial and industrial real estate sectors. This role is crucial in connecting new construction projects with our natural gas services.

Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will leverage their extensive experience in real estate and utility sectors to connect industrial and commercial builders and developers with our natural gas pipeline services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the new construction permitting process and have established relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate and construction industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial real estate sectors.
    • Develop and implement strategies to connect new construction projects with our natural gas services.
    • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, construction companies, and real estate firms.
  2. Client Engagement:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients seeking natural gas services for new construction projects.
    • Provide expert guidance on connecting projects to our natural gas infrastructure.
    • Address client needs and ensure a smooth integration of our services into their projects.
  3. Market Analysis:

    • Analyze market trends and identify emerging opportunities within the real estate and construction sectors.
    • Monitor competitors and industry developments to adjust strategies accordingly.
  4. Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including permitting, engineering, and operations, to facilitate project connectivity.
    • Coordinate with local government agencies and stakeholders to navigate the permitting and approval processes.
  5. Relationship Management:

    • Maintain and expand existing relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Organize and participate in industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, project status, and market trends.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and project details.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, real estate, or utility sectors with a focus on new construction.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the new construction permitting process and connecting projects to utilities (gas, water, electric).
  • Relationships: Established network with contractors, construction companies, and real estate firms, specifically those interested in natural gas services.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of successful business development and client management.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
    • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field, preferred.
