Lakeshore talent is partnering with a reputable Oil and Gas company in their search for a FP&A Associate. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial planning cycle, ensuring budget processes run smoothly, tracking key performance indicators, and providing analytical insights to support operational decision-making. The position collaborates closely with various teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to enhance transparency and optimize performance using data-driven reporting. A key aspect of this role is delivering reports and insights to leadership on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, covering financial, capital, and operational metrics.

Location: Hybrid with in office requirements in downtown Denver, CO
Pay: $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, creating detailed reports to evaluate company performance.
  • Lead monthly forecasting and variance analysis while proactively identifying and resolving financial discrepancies.
  • Provide analytical support to leadership, investor relations, and finance teams.
  • Work closely with accounting to interpret financial data and assess operational results.
  • Assist in formulating company-wide performance benchmarks and guidance.
  • Develop standardized models and forecasting tools to improve financial planning.
  • Mentor and support junior staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Continuously seek process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial trends and market data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure all financial practices align with company standards and policies.
  • Support cross-functional financial initiatives and other assigned projects.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Advanced analytical and research capabilities to drive data-informed decisions.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience, required
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning or accounting experience, required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Familiarity with B2 Bolo and OneStream are preferred

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Hybrid – Monday and Friday remote with Tuesday – Thursday, in office
