Lakeshore Talent is in search of an experienced  Senior Employee Relations Specialist to support one of our clients in the healthcare industry.

This individual will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies that promote a fair, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings a balanced, strategic, analytical, and empathetic approach to managing complex employee relations matters, driving organizational consistency, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Position Details:

  • 3 month contract to start, with potential to be considered for permanent employment

  • Pay Rate: $38-$46.50/hr

  • Location: Remote with 10% travel 

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance management.

  • Lead and manage investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring impartiality, confidentiality, and adherence to company policy and legal standards.

  • Partner closely with HR, legal, and leadership teams to resolve complex employment issues efficiently and with sound judgment.
    Monitor labor and employment law updates to ensure ongoing compliance and minimize organizational risk.

  • Promote transparent communication channels to build trust and enhance overall workplace culture.

  • Support the design and delivery of employee relations training programs, process improvements, and best-practice resources for HR and management teams.

  • Use case management systems to document, assign, and track employee relations cases, ensuring consistent handling and timely resolution.
    Collaborate with leadership to balance business objectives with fair and legally compliant employment practices.

  • Provide strategic input on performance management processes, including development plans, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

  • Identify employee relations trends and recommend proactive measures to address emerging issues.

  • Contribute to engagement initiatives and policy development to strengthen the employee experience.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of regional and international labor practices to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures that support a positive and productive work environment.

  • Handle sensitive and high-impact employee relations cases, including those related to misconduct, discrimination, or harassment.

 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, HR business partnership, or related HR roles.

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting investigations and interpreting employment laws.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.

  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential matters.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a global or multi-state workforce a plus.
