Lakeshore Talent is looking for qualified candidates to fill a Spatial Data Administrator position for an oil & gas company located in Houston, Texas. This is a hybrid position that is 1 week remote and 1 week in the office on a rotational basis. This is a 4 month contract position with strong potential to be extended or go permanent. Pay for this position is $38-$51/hour based on experience.
Job Description:
Establish and maintain spatial database standards. Establish, document and modify spatial database processes. Design spatial databases according to established standards.
Job Duties:
- Assist with workflows related to maintenance of pipeline & related features in the
- corporate spatial database (PODS & Geodatabase)
- Work with Spatial Data Team members and identified SMEs in the review, research, and update of – linear and point feature data in the corporate database. These efforts will be focused on supporting Compliance, Safety, and Regulatory analysis and reporting
- Assists in the update of the database to maintain spatial data health by identifying and fixing gaps, overlaps, and multi-part features
- Review of attributes and maintenance of attribute health such as gaps and errors
Database Reporting & Extracts
- Mileage reporting by attributes
- Data extract for various business units for different features within the database
Spatial Data Analytical Support
- Perform proximity, buffer, overlay analyses between different datasets
- Conversion of data between different spatial data formats
- Join different datasets for data extracts
Technical Skill Requirements:
- Proficient at the following ESRI Software- ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS/Pro, Model Builder
- Ability to run geo-processing tools
- Skilled in data editing
- Run selection queries and data update knowledge
- Create maps to display data updates and extracts
- Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite & Teams
- PODS Editing knowledge and use of Software – a plus
- Knowledge of Python – a plus
