Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking an Office Manager for one of their clients, a financial services organization located in the Wash Park area of Denver, CO. This is an in office, direct hire position paying $29-$34/hour depending on experience. This position will qualify for overtime during busy seasons. This is a small team environment that allows dogs in the workplace and is in a great location!


Job Description:

Lakeshore Talent is seeking a CPA Office Manager who is committed to handling the efficient operation of the firm's administrative functions. The successful candidate will bring a high level of professionalism, initiative, independence, confidentiality, and a sense of urgency. You will be responsible for providing support to the tax staff including, but not limited to, sending client tax information, collecting client documents, following up with clients, assembling tax returns, billing and accounts receivable, greeting visitors, and providing executive administrative support to the firm’s partners.


Job Responsibilities:

General office administrative duties including:

  • Directing incoming calls

  • Answering phones

  • Electronic and paper record keeping including scanning and filing documents

  • Receiving and distributing faxes and mail

  • Greeting clients and guests

  • Ordering and maintaining office supply inventory

  • Administrative assistance to executive

Support the firm's professional accounting staff with:

  • Client database management

  • Client correspondence

  • Tax return e-file rejections

  • Preparation of expense reports

  • Invoice preparation, accounts receivable, and collections

  • Calendar and appointment management

  • Assemble tax returns and other client deliverables



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative work, preferably in public accounting

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience

  • Work effectively both within a team environment and independently

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel and all types of personalities

  • Maintain a friendly and professional customer service centered attitude and appearance

  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF Flyer

  • Be confident in the operation of office equipment (e.g. Printer, copier, fax machine, postage machine, etc.)

  • Possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments concurrently

  • Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication

  • Be resourceful and proactive, especially when issues or conflict arise

  • Possess a strong work ethic and maintain regular and predictable attendance during normal business hours

  • Be flexible regarding work responsibilities and processes, and to perform well under deadlines and other stressful situations

  • Maintain strict client and firm confidentiality and uphold the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct
