Lakeshore Talent is actively hiring a Director of Strategic Pricing for a well known manufacturing company in Denver, CO. This position will lead pricing analytics, strategy development and implementation for current and future product portfolio. Pay for this position is $130K – $175K plus bonus potential.


  • Work collaboratively across Sales, Product, Services, Finance, Marketing, Legal, IT and Operations teams to optimize pricing and improve margin and revenue performance.

  • Create action-oriented pricing analytics and metrics to drive strategic decisions across the company.

  • Design, implement and maintain competitive price models, quote and rebate guidelines and streamline pricing processes.

  • Provide thought leadership to the organization to drive a sustained growth in margin for the business.

  • Define pricing strategy and segment-specific pricing targets.

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the company's current pricing strategies and structures, considering differentiation of the product/service, competitive environment, process and administrative sustainability, and other key factors.

  • Identify areas of suboptimal pricing for margin improvement or pricing structure refinement.

  • Manage pricing changes, customer discounts, rebate programs and quoting processes.

  • Conduct and coordinate financial, market, operational and related research to support strategic pricing, discounting and overall guidance for the sales team.

  • Collaborate with appropriate business functions to create pricing levels and go-to-market strategy for new products and services.

  • Lead the development or refinement of price models, tools and capabilities to achieve pricing excellence.

  • Develop and maintain talent pipeline around pricing analytics, administration, training, and reporting.

  • Liaise with commercial leadership team to communicate key pricing strategies, activities, and metrics.

  • Manage a team of pricing professionals supporting these responsibilities.



  • 10+ years of experience in in pricing, preferably with list/discount methodology

  • 5+ years of experience leading a pricing function and/or team

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, statistics, economics, or other quantitative discipline.

  • Experience in pricing, licensing, finance, transactional sales in B2B channel sales environment.

  • Experience in developing fact-based and data-driven recommendations in support of executive decisions. Ability to lead team to synthesize large data sets and applying analytic frameworks for insights.

  • Experience managing diverse teams, working with nearshore support organizations and in driving change management.

  • Analytical mind with natural curiosity, grit and determination. Self-starter and initiator. Ability to work under pressure, manage projects and get things done through fostering relationships to gain trust and confidence.

  • Ability to establish processes and look for areas where operations could be more efficient or established.

  • Experience in large, global, and complex/matrixed organizations.

  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableaux, pricing software a plus.

  • Skilled communicator and collaborator that effectively conveys key pricing developments and strategies to stakeholders and team.
