Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a very well-known company in their search for a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of relevant experience with some work or a degree in accounting. This will be starting remotely but eventually will be going back into the office in Lakewood, CO, local applicants only please. This is paying $90-$110K depending on experience.
DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for providing a broad range of financial analysis activities and presentations specifically targeted, but not limited to, our retail store operations. A wide degree of creativity and an eagerness to continue learning is also expected.
ROLE-SPECIFIC ABILITIES
- Work cross-functionally with Support Center and Field Ops partners to drive the business forward through data-driven insights
- Bridge data and systems to create output that seamlessly informs the business
- Have a solid understanding of P&Ls and be able to review with operators to identify areas of opportunity
- Model new and maintain/enhance existing reporting on key performance metrics across all operations
- Perform ad hoc analysis on a variety of subjects supporting initiatives in line with strategic growth objectives of Operations Leadership
- Support planning and forecasting process in across enterprise departments
- Create visibility into department led company-wide business trends, forecasts, and expected returns
- Provide in-depth insight and analysis to Operations Leadership on a consistent daily, weekly, and periodic basis
- Educate and inform Operations Leadership of potential risks within the organization
- Coordinate with Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate period close
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting preferred)
- A solid understanding of operation accounting fundamentals and GAAP
- 3-5 years of previous similar experience
- Strong understanding of financial statements (i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
- Perform work in a timely and professional manner
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven
- Able to take direction and follow through multi-step projects/procedures consistently
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience with building models in a well-organized manner that is clear and concise and easy for the reader to glean insight
- A strong desire to continue to learn through a high level of intellectual curiosity
PREFERRED:
- Experience with FP&A support of restaurant operations
- Experience with database reporting tools (MS Access, SQL Server, etc.)
- Great Plains experience or similar ERP experience
- Power BI and Tableau
- CPA
