Lakeshore Talent is partnered with a reputable healthcare organization in search for a Patient Access Specialist to support a hospital in Chicago, IL.


Pay: $19/hr
Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday 
Contract Length: 3 months to start, with potential for extension


Because this position is in a healthcare setting, employees must have up to date vaccination records (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Flu, Covid-19).


Job Responsibilities: This Patient Access Specialist will be supporting patients in a call center environment. They will handle inbound calls to assist with the following:

  • Check in and register patients
  • Schedule appointments
  • Update insurance information
  • Process co-pays
  • Follow up with patients
  • Communicate information to the patient regarding questions about physician referrals, insurance referrals, and consultations

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with Epic, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
