Lakeshore Talent is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for a large healthcare organization in Durango, Colorado. Hourly pay for this position is $18-$20, depending on prior experience. This position starts out as a 4-8 week contract, with a potential to be extended. This client is looking to have people start ASAP, candidates would need to be able to start immediately! 

Due to this being in a hospital environment, if selected candidates must be willing to provide proof of immunizations (flu shot, TDap, TB, MMR, Varicella) as well as pass a background check and 10 panel drug test. 

Duties:

  • Greeting and registering up to 100 patients and guests per day
  • Collecting co-payments
  • Answering main line for department
  • Scheduling follow up visits at patient check-out

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Office experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Familiar with medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Microsoft Office
  • H.S. Diploma/GED required
