Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a large and stable company in their search for an Accountant/Payroll Specialist for Siloam Springs, AK. This will be working in the office reporting to the Controller. This will be starting as a month long contract with potential to extend or be considered for a contract to hire. Pay for the role will be $25/hr. 

 

Key job duties:

  • Payroll batch processing of 600 people to headquarters including: Time card data gathering, reviewing, and uploading
  • Labor reporting and forecasting data functions
  • Leading labor meetings
  • Labor journal entries for month end close
  • Assisting the controller with forecasting and budgeting needs in relation to labor
  • Special projects

 

Requirements: 

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel with ability to build)
  • Access and/or SQL knowledge/experience a plus, ERP experience a plus (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule
  • Experience processing payroll and journal entries 
  • A drug test and a background check will be required prior to starting 

 

 Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience  
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Prior public accounting experience is desired, but not required
