Lakeshore Talent is seeking qualified candidates for a Scheduler position in the Littleton, Colorado area. This position will be responsible for scheduling appointments and serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Qualified candidates will have prior medical scheduling experience, will have strong customer service skills, and will be able to demonstrate patience and empathy.  


This role will be a contract to hire position working in office, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM. Pay for this position is $17-$18 per hour depending upon experience. 


What You’ll Do

  • Answers all incoming calls; assesses caller's needs and directs to appropriate personnel

  • Obtains and communicates messages in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Schedules new patients and return appointments in the computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines

  • Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.

  • Obtains and enters all authorization and correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts 

  • Maintains physicians schedule: on call, vacations, meetings, etc.

  • Schedules outpatient appointments/testing and hospital admissions upon request. Obtains necessary pre-certification as required.

  • Handles new patient referrals

  • Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.

  • Maintains primary office scheduling book containing all physician meetings, satellite schedule, rounding and call coverage.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality

  • Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office

  • Prepares correspondence, memos, forms and other typing as requested by supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.

  • Minimum three years of medical office experience.
