Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a rapidly growing company in the capital investment space to fill a need for an Accountant. This is a great opportunity for candidates that are looking for an exciting and growing company! 

 

This position is a contract to hire, and will start as working from home, but as covid recommendations are evaluated, will be expected to be in the office in the Wash Park area.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance

  • Will help to manage accounting processes while coordinating with multiple external vendors

  • Maintain and update Accounting records and files

  • Assist acquisition team with compiling documentation

  • Organize and update financial records

  • Assist Financial Analyst with reviewing financial reporting

  • Manage accounts payables – invoices, bill pay, bank account balances

  • Manage bank and credit card accounts

  • Oversee other credit accounts

  • Responsible for making sure CPA has all tax information for tax preparation for business entities and personal returns

  • Will be responsible for communicating with the outside vendor for bookkeeping purposes and double checking information (potentially taking this responsibility on)

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Strong ability to read and analyze general ledger,  P&L statements, and other financial reports 

  • Must exhibit a passion for accounting, and be eager to learn

  • Some experience and/or interest in real estate accounting preferred

  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically with Excel

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to discern that the information is correct.

  • In addition to Excel, will also utilize QuickBooks, Receipt Bank and Trello for daily transactions

  • Strong communication skills, as this role will be interacting with several outside vendors, as well  as internal stakeholders
