Senior Manager, Total Rewards
Direct Hire | Denver, CO | Hybrid (3 days per week in-office)
Salary Range: $91,270 – $159,723
Overview
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Total Rewards to join a collaborative and passionate HR team. This role is responsible for managing compensation, benefits, equity, recognition, and executive compensation programs while driving innovation in total rewards strategy. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving, and creating new programs that positively impact employees and align with company goals.
The Senior Manager will oversee a small but dynamic team (4 direct reports) and play a critical role in shaping the overall rewards philosophy. This individual should thrive in a lean, hands-on environment, bring strong subject matter expertise, and possess the curiosity and ownership to propose and deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Administer compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, policies, and procedures.

Research and recommend new or enhanced Total Rewards programs that align with business objectives and competitive practices.

Provide expert guidance on:

Compensation programs (minimum wage, incentive programs, equity, executive compensation).

Benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and ancillary offerings).

Recognition programs (award programs, incentive trips, peer-to-peer recognition, etc.).

Develop documentation, policies, and communications to support new and revised programs.

Conduct external market analysis and interpret compensation and benefits survey data.

Monitor program effectiveness and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (FLSA, HIPAA, DOL, EEOC, etc.).

Perform routine audits to analyze data accuracy and compliance.

Partner with leadership to deliver recommendations in a clear, concise format (headlines and key takeaways).

Lead and mentor a team including analysts and people services staff.

Other related projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Must-Haves
-
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering corporate Total Rewards programs.

Strong expertise in compensation, benefits, incentives, equity, and executive compensation.

In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FLSA, HIPAA, DOL, EEOC).

Experience with compensation survey analysis and market data interpretation.

Proven ability to monitor and measure program effectiveness.

Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred).

Strong communication style—able to present recommendations clearly and concisely.

Schedule
