Lakeshore Talent is seeking a Payroll Operations Coordinator to join a reputable organization in a hands-on and collaborative role. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced payroll department while mentoring and guiding less experienced team members.
Payroll Operations Coordinator
Pay: $22 – $26 hour
Location: Onsite in Chicago, IL | Temp-to-Possible Hire for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a resource and informal leader for junior payroll staff, promoting teamwork and accuracy

Support day-to-day payroll processing and ensure accuracy across multiple states or large employee groups

Assist with payroll compliance, tax filings, and wage law adherence

Partner with internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide clear communication

Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis) to audit and reconcile payroll data
Qualifications:

2–3 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in a multi-state or large organization

Proficient with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms?

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements

Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor others
Because it is a hospital, they do require all of your vaccinations are up to date including Covid and flu.
