Welder (Aluminum & Steel)
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Onsite – Henderson, CO
Pay Rate: $22–$26/hour (pay based on skill set evaluation)
Schedule: Early day shift
Contract Length: 120 days with potential for permanent conversion
Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the transportation and trailer industry to hire experienced Welders. Position Overview
The Welder will assemble, fabricate, and weld aluminum and steel components used in large trailer assemblies. This role requires strong blueprint interpretation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

MIG and TIG weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components

Layout, assemble, and weld parts according to specifications

Fabricate trailer components such as rear frames, H-members, axle assemblies, end sheets, and side sheets

Ensure work meets all safety and quality standards

Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
-
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality guidelines
-
Collaborate closely with team members to maximize efficiency and productivity

Lift raw materials and finished components up to 51 pounds
Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience (preferred)

Hands-on experience welding aluminum and steel (required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to perform basic shop math, including decimal and fraction conversions

Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented work ethic
-
Willingness to work 40+ hours per week

High school diploma or GED required
Pre-Employment Requirements

Pass a weld test

Pass background check
-
DOT drug screening (includes cannabis) prior to hire and random testing thereafter
