Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Dock Material Handler to join a growing warehouse operations team in Aurora, CO. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent role after 3–4 months, offering steady hours, competitive pay, and the chance to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Details
- Type: Contract-to-Hire (3–4 months)
- Pay Rate: $20.75 – $21.79 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: Aurora, CO
Position Overview
The Dock Material Handler is responsible for the accurate inspection, shipping, receiving, and movement of inventory throughout the warehouse. This role plays a key part in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe dock environment while ensuring all products are handled and documented correctly. You’ll also support inventory processes and collaborate with multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload inbound and outbound shipments
- Move products to proper storage or distribution areas
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, or quality concerns
- Complete receiving logs and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory
- Scan and track pallets using RF technology and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary warehouse and dock area
- Assist with inventory counts and cross-functional warehouse support as needed
- Communicate equipment maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Prepare outbound shipments, including manifests and bills of lading
Requirements
- 2–4 years of warehouse or material handling experience
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, carry 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 120 lbs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs to waist level and 40 lbs overhead
- Comfortable standing, walking, and operating equipment throughout the day
