Join Our Team as a Gooseneck Assembler – Build the Future of Trailers!
Lakeshore Talent is currently hiring on behalf of Merritt Trailers for a Gooseneck Trailer Assembler. We’re seeking motivated, hands-on individuals who are ready to contribute to a growing, family-owned company known for building high-quality trailers in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
This is a fully onsite position located in Henderson, CO, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pay ranges from $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience and skill set. This role also offers the opportunity for long-term employment, including potential direct hire after 120 days.
What You’ll Do:
- Assemble end sheets, side sheets, and other trailer components from raw materials
- Build livestock, commodity, and gooseneck trailers with attention to detail
- Read and interpret engineering prints and technical documents
- Use air tools such as drills and air guns, supplied by the company, to complete tasks
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, varied environment to ensure quality and efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:*
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Experience using air tools (drills, guns, etc.)
- Mechanical/manual production experience
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a team setting
- Ability to understand technical prints and drawings
- Bring your own tools and steel-toed boots (tool kit list provided)
Nice to Have Skills & Additional Qualifications:*
- Basic electrical skills, especially connecting harnesses (no soldering needed)
- Trailer or heavy equipment experience
- Welding knowledge is not required but a plus
- Experience working in land, western heritage, or similar product environments
Preferred Education & Experience:*
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or related trades highly valued
- No welding experience necessary
Other Requirements:*
- Ability to pass background checks and DOT drug screening (including cannabis)
- Willingness to handle hands-on training with cranes and saws on the first day
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Possession of tools and steel-toed boots to start immediately
