Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – In-Home Services for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, hands-on care to seniors in both center-based and home settings while supporting their independence, health, and quality of life.
Position Details
- Location: Charlottesville, VA
- Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Contract Length: 3 months to start
- Pay Rate: $19.23 – $23.08 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET, with every other weekend required
- Software Used: Epic
Position Summary
The In-Home Services CNA is responsible for providing routine care and assisting participants with activities of daily living, restorative care, and supportive services. This position works closely with nurses and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centered care that promotes safety, dignity, and independence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow established care plans and assist participants with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, eating, mobility, and toileting.
- Document care provided in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor participant health status, including vital signs, monthly weights, appetite, skin condition, and changes in functional ability.
- Report changes in condition, concerns, accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Assist participants with meals and feeding as needed.
- Provide restorative and supportive care, including ambulation, positioning, transfers, skin care, catheter assistance, oxygen support, and other assigned tasks.
- Participate in care planning activities as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
- Perform nursing assistant services in participants’ homes and other assigned care settings.
- Complete visit documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
- Perform simple procedures as directed by nursing or therapy staff.
- Provide household services essential to participant health and well-being as assigned.
- Attend required training, continuing education, and mandatory in-service programs.
- Participate in quality management and improvement activities as requested.
- Accept only assignments for which appropriate training has been completed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state-issued Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current First Aid certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with frail, elderly, or geriatric populations.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a care setting serving frail or elderly individuals in a group environment.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
