Administrative Assistant to the CDO (Maternity leave coverage) 

We’re seeking an experienced, high-trust administrative professional to provide dedicated support to a C-suite executive in a fast-paced, high-growth corporate environment. This person will function as a true right hand bringing calm, structure, and strong judgment while serving as a key liaison across internal leaders and external partners.

Assignment details

  • Contract coverage (maternity leave); expected end of September through end of January 2027 (approx. 3–5 months)

  • Target start: late September / early October 

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

  • Hybrid: 3–4 days onsite (with flexibility based on team needs)

  • Location: Downtown Denver (parking provided)

  • Pay rate: $35–$45/hour

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and prioritize a complex, ever-changing calendar to protect time for highest-impact work.

  • Coordinate meetings across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, and ensure agendas/materials are ready in advance.

  • Support board and executive-level presentation preparation, often on compressed timelines.

  • Act as a polished, diplomatic point of contact between internal teams and external partners.

  • Manage end-to-end travel planning (flights, lodging, ground transport), build detailed itineraries, and anticipate day-of changes.

  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely expense reports.

  • Help plan and execute team events (dinners, off-sites, engagement activities) and keep commitments organized through the assignment period.

  • Handle sensitive, confidential information with excellent discretion and integrity.

Required experience & skills

  • 5+ years supporting senior executives (C-suite preferred); experience in public-company and/or energy environments is a plus.
  • Experience with event planning. 
  • Expert-level organization, follow-through, and communication skills; able to work effectively with mixed personality styles.

  •  Positive and high professionalism:  responsive, adaptable, and steady under pressure.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with expense/reporting tools.

  • Ability to anticipate needs, reduce friction, and keep priorities moving without constant direction.

  • Bachelors Degree – preferred.
