Reconciliations Specialist
Location: Denver, CO
Schedule: Hybrid | 4 days per week in-office
Pay Rate: $31.00 – $38.00/hour
Contract Duration: 2–3 months, with potential to convert to permanent
About the Role
Lakeshore Talent is seeking a Reconciliations Specialist to join the accounting team of a Denver-based organization on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will focus on processing customer refunds, resolving financial discrepancies, and supporting accounting operations through strong analytical and reconciliation work.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to changing priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make an impact quickly with the potential to transition into a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities

Process customer refunds in coordination with the accounting team.

Research and resolve financial discrepancies across multiple systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and processing teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Assist with process improvements and system optimizations as business needs evolve.

Provide audit support and respond to requests from management and external auditors.

Participate in special projects, system upgrades, and reconciliation initiatives.
Systems & Tools

During the contract period, this role will primarily work in Microsoft Great Plains (GP).

The organization is in the process of transitioning to NetSuite</strong>; if the individual converts to a permanent role, they will be part of the migration and work in NetSuite and other auxiliary financial systems.

The position is system agnostic — prior experience with these specific tools is not required, as full training will be provided.
Qualifications

At least 1–2 years of experience in reconciliations, accounting, or financial operations.

Proficient with financial systems and data analysis (specific platform experience not required).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to adapt to process changes and work collaboratively in a team setting.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Candidates pursuing an accounting degree or with relevant hands-on accounting experience are also encouraged to apply.
