Position Overview
The Assembler is responsible for building components such as end sheets and side sheets and assembling Livestock, Commodity, and Gooseneck trailers from raw materials. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate hand and power tools while meeting production and quality standards.


Location: Onsite – Henderson, CO
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Pay: $24–$26/hour (skill-based; eligible for review at 120 days)
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire (120 days / 4 months)
Start Date: ASAP


Key Responsibilities

  • Build livestock trailer assemblies by interpreting work orders, production orders, and blueprints
  • Cut raw materials to specification using tape measures and portable power saws
  • Assemble end sheets, side sheets, and other components from raw materials
  • Position, align, drill, ream, and fasten parts using bolts, screws, hucks, rivets, and other fasteners
  • Read prints and understand build specifications throughout the assembly process
  • Lift and move raw materials, components, and finished products (up to 51 lbs.)
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and complete required documentation
  • Perform work safely while maintaining a clean, organized work area
  • Properly care for tools and equipment and follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or hands-on assembly environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail, workmanship, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using hand and air tools including drills, rivet guns, huck guns, grinders, and saws
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math (fractions and decimals)
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality standards
  • Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and work through a varied build process (not repetitive assembly line work)
  • Basic electrical experience (connecting harnesses) is a plus but not required

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Participation in random drug testing after hire
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 51 pounds
  • Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures
  • Steel-toed boots required
  • Must bring own basic hand tools (tool list provided; air tools supplied by company)
