Facilities Technician (Part-Time) – Contract
Boulder, CO (Onsite)
Lakeshore Talent is partnering with our client in Boulder to hire a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support day-to-day shipping/receiving and light facilities support. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, working with their hands, and following clear safety procedures while handling sensitive, high-value materials.
- Location: Boulder, CO (fully onsite; free parking)
- Schedule: 4–6 hours/day preferred (9:00 AM–2:00 PM), 30-minute lunch
- If someone needs 22 hours/week for benefits eligibility, they can accommodate
- Pay: $25–$30/hour
- Duration: 6 months to start (extension possible)
- Start: ASAP
- Status: Contract, could be extended
What you’ll do
- Break down boxes and manage shipping/packing materials from incoming deliveries
- Support receiving: look up purchase orders and confirm items are set up correctly
- Assemble basic items such as shelving and packaging materials
- Move crates and pallets using a pallet jack (materials are sensitive, so safe handling is critical)
- Follow all safety protocols consistently (steel-toed shoes required)
What we’re looking for
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in some or all of the following: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC,electrical/mechanical systems
- Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiative
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Physical ability to stand, lift and climb for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable using standard hand/power tools
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Dependable, team-oriented communicator
- Comfortable being on your feet, lifting, and moving throughout the day
Nice to have (not required)
- Lab environment experience
- Shipping/receiving or materials handling background
- Experience verifying inventory against POs

- Background check required
- NDA may be required during onsite interview due to the sensitive nature of the environment
