Director of Accounting & Billing
Overview:

We’re seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting & Billing to lead a dedicated team in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial processes. This role offers a competitive salary range of $123,000 to $150,000. Required Skills:

Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience

At least 3 years of leadership managing teams of 50+ staff

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Experience in healthcare, governmental contracts, or complex nonprofit environments

Strong working knowledge of GAAP, federal regulations, compliance, and CFR sections

Hands-on experience with revenue cycle management, especially in Medicaid, Tricare, or governmental insurance

Exposure to complex coding, fund accounting, and controlled processes

Deep understanding of government or healthcare contracts, rate structures, and reimbursement logic

Proficiency in ERP systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and translate operational needs into system and reporting improvements

Strong technical aptitude with finance software and tools

Commitment to fostering a high-performance, coaching-first team environment

Willingness to participate in future financial system buildout initiatives
Nice to Have Skills:

CPA licensure

Experience with NetSuite ERP and Paycom systems

Exposure to building or optimizing billing workflows with automation and AI tools

Prior experience with complex coding, fund accounting, and controlled processes
