Lakeshore Talent is seeking an On-Site Staffing Manager to lead contingent workforce operations at one of our manufacturing clients. Working directly for Lakeshore Talent and embedded on-site, you will manage contract-to-hire employees, provide coaching to client hiring managers, and serve as a primary liaison between the client and Lakeshore Talent, keeping both sides aligned with staffing progress and workforce performance.
This role reports to the Lakeshore Talent Account Executive and President, with a dotted line to the client leadership team, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to drive staffing effectiveness and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Workforce & Staffing Management

Serve as the on-site Lakeshore Talent representative for client supervisors and managers.

Facilitate interviews, evaluate candidate qualifications, and make hiring recommendations and decisions, involving department leaders for role-specific insight when appropriate.

Coordinate onboarding, orientation, safety training, and completion of new hire paperwork for contract-to-hire employees.

Manage timekeeping, attendance tracking, and schedule adjustments

Collaborate with department leaders on workforce performance, productivity, and provide coaching and support to both employees and client supervisors.

Responsible for terminating employees.

Support employee relations matters and act as the primary point of contact for workforce issues.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Manage the termination process for contract-to-hire employees, ensuring proper documentation, policy compliance, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
Client Relationship & Support

Oversee daily staffing levels for our manufacturing client to meet production goals and shift requirements.

Provide updates on staffing status and labor forecasts.

Provide real-time problem-solving for workforce and retention challenges for contract-to-hire employees.

Consistently communicate with the Lakeshore Account Executive (AE) regarding hiring progress, candidate pipelines, and workforce trends.

Partner closely with Lakeshore Talent recruiters to ensure timely candidate placement.
Requirements
Required:
-
2–4+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or HR within a manufacturing operations environment.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a trusted liaison between client managers and Lakeshore Talent.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency with scheduling tools, timekeeping systems, and reporting.

Experience using VMS, ATS, or HRIS systems

Ability to work on-site daily and be available for contract-to-hire employees

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting production needs.
Preferred:

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, shift structures, and production cycles.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Understanding of OSHA and standard workplace safety practices.
Benefits:

Compensation will be $36-$38.46/hr. with bonus opportunities upon hitting targets
