Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Clinical Medical Assistant to support a busy clinic in Aurora, Colorado. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for extension, offering hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Position Details

  • Location: Aurora, CO 
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Pay Range: $20.67 – $24.81/hour
  • Contract Length: 2 months to start
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Reason for Opening: Coverage for leave of absence / worker’s compensation absence

Position Overview

The Clinical Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. This role works closely with providers, nurses, and staff to support patient flow and deliver compassionate care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling in collaboration with medical staff
  • Take vital signs and collect specimens (including phlebotomy, finger sticks, pulse oximetry)
  • Report abnormal findings to nursing staff or providers
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and assisting with readiness
  • Assist providers and nurses with procedures and treatments within scope of training
  • Support medication preparation and administration (based on qualifications)
  • Schedule internal and external appointments, including labs and specialist visits
  • Educate patients and communicate lab results as directed
  • Maintain exam rooms, including stocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness
  • Perform clerical duties and assist with charting and documentation
  • Conduct weekly audits and follow up on lab results as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and EKGs
  • At least 1 year of experience working with frail or elderly populations

  • Bilingual abilities

Onboarding Requirements

  • Background check 
  • Drug screening 
  • Copy of Medical Assistant certification
  • CPR/BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association, in-person)
  • First Aid certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association, in-person)
  • Recent physical exam (within 30 days)
  • Medical clearance form completed by a physician
  • TB test (within 1 year)
  • Flu vaccination (seasonal requirement: October–April)
