Data Analyst – Payroll & Benefits
Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Data Analyst – Payroll & Benefits for a growing organization located in Greenwood Village, CO. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential due to continued company growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting payroll and benefits operations through reporting, analysis, and data management.
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (DTC)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (onsite)
Pay Rate: $37.00 – $40.00/hour
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (anticipated 5-6 month contract with intent to convert)
Parking: Available onsite
Position Overview
This role supports payroll and benefits operations by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations. Reporting directly to the Payroll & Benefits Manager, this individual will take ownership of reporting and data analysis initiatives, helping the team identify trends, maintain data accuracy, and improve decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and analyze payroll and benefits reports using HRIS systems, Excel, and Power BI.
- Review HR and payroll data, identify trends and insights, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Audit data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies across payroll, benefits, and HR systems.
- Assist with dashboard creation, reporting enhancements, and process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Support payroll and benefits teams with reporting requests, compliance audits, and ongoing data initiatives.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and research solutions independently when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2+ years of experience in HR, Payroll, Benefits, reporting, or data analysis support.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

Pivot Tables

VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

Formulas and data manipulation

Data merging and reporting

- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.
- Experience working within HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, ADP, or similar systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
