Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist (Spanish/English)
Contract | 3-Month Maternity Leave Coverage | Immediate Start
Lakeshore Talent is seeking an experienced Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist to join a dynamic and people-focused organization for a 3-month maternity leave assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in employee relations, enjoys supporting a diverse workforce, and is passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
We’re looking for someone who is fully fluent in both Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, speak, and provide accurate translations for employees throughout the HR process.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Mondays are remote after the initial training period
Compensation
- $26.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Immediate opportunity with a collaborative HR team
What You’ll Do
As the Employee Relations Specialist, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership while helping ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and compassionately.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and terminations
- Interpret and communicate company policies to employees and leaders
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of employee relations processes
- Develop and organize HR documentation and knowledge base resources
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Spanish-speaking employees
- Translate HR communications and assist with interpretation during onboarding and other HR interactions
- Welcome and support new Spanish-speaking employees throughout the onboarding process
- Assist with benefits administration and related HR functions
- Partner closely with the HR team to support a positive employee experience
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of Employee Relations experience
- Restaurant or hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking, and translating)
- Strong knowledge of employee relations best practices, investigations, and policy application
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build trust with employees at all levels while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Supportive of diverse and inclusive workplace cultures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rippling HRIS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
