Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a leading closed-door pharmacy in Boulder, Colorado, to hire a Pharmacy Shipping Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys leading teams while ensuring medications are delivered accurately, safely, and on time.
The pharmacy supports a large-scale prescription fulfillment operation serving healthcare facilities throughout the region. This position plays a critical role in overseeing outbound shipping operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.
Position Details
- Position: Pharmacy Shipping Supervisor
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:30 AM-6:00 PM MST
- Pay: $31.01-$38.80 per hour
- Location: Boulder, CO (Gunbarrel Neighborhood)
What You’ll Do
As the Pharmacy Shipping Supervisor, you’ll oversee all outbound logistics and delivery operations, ensuring medications and pharmacy supplies are packaged, labeled, and delivered accurately to healthcare partners while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead daily shipping operations, including order staging, packaging, labeling, and dispatch
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to nursing homes, assisted living communities, correctional facilities, and other healthcare partners
- Supervise shipping staff, including drivers, packers, and logistics coordinators
- Provide coaching, training, scheduling, and performance feedback to team members
- Maintain compliance with DEA regulations, state pharmacy board requirements, and company policies
- Oversee chain-of-custody documentation for controlled substances
- Monitor key performance indicators, including delivery accuracy, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, routing efficiency, and shipping processes
- Partner with inventory and pharmacy production teams to coordinate product availability and prevent shipping delays
- Utilize pharmacy management and logistics software to manage shipments, reporting, and workflow
- Serve as the primary contact for delivery-related questions and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of shipping or logistics experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy environment
- Previous experience supervising teams and coordinating delivery operations
- Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, including handling controlled substances
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency with logistics software and routing platforms such as FrameworkLTC, Roadnet, or similar systems
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in a closed-door pharmacy or healthcare distribution environment
