Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Pharmacy Technician to join a large, high-volume closed-door pharmacy in Boulder, CO. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for an experienced, nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who is reliable, detail-oriented, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This pharmacy fills approximately 3,500 prescriptions per day, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working with significant prescription volume while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. Candidates coming from busy retail pharmacy environments—particularly those accustomed to filling 500–600 prescriptions per day—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position Details
Location: Boulder, CO – Gunbarrel neighborhood
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Contract Length: Approximately 16 weeks, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position based on fit and performance
Pay: $21-$25 per hour (based on years of experience)
Additional Incentives: Opportunities for additional compensation may be available, including incentives for certain Saturday shifts.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will support medication dispensing and pharmacy operations under the direction of a Pharmacist or pharmacy leadership. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately filling electronic prescriptions, weekly batches, and refill requests.
- Counting, handling, mixing, packaging, and preparing medications.
- Operating and monitoring automated and robotic medication-dispensing equipment.
- Selecting and importing orders for automated dispensing and printing prescription labels.
- Preparing blister packs and staging medications and pharmaceutical supplies for delivery.
- Entering and verifying prescription information within pharmacy software.
- Receiving, storing, and logging inventory and approved returns.
- Monitoring expiration dates and rotating stock to prevent outdated products from being dispensed.
- Maintaining appropriate medication storage, security, equipment, and work areas.
- Maintaining accurate patient profiles and medication information.
- Communicating with customers, healthcare providers, and pharmacy team members to answer questions and resolve prescription-related needs.
- Supporting quality, compliance, efficiency, and HIPAA-related requirements throughout pharmacy operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
- Current Colorado Pharmacy Technician License or Registration required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Strong reliability and commitment to maintaining a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for most of the workday.

Work Environment & Culture
This is a large, closed-door pharmacy with approximately 45 employees supporting high-volume prescription fulfillment. The environment is busy, structured, and highly collaborative, with Mondays typically being the busiest day of the week.

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and/or walking for much of the shift. Team members may occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 30 pounds and may be required to bend, reach, twist, use a step stool, or push/pull supplies as part of normal pharmacy operations.
