Lakeshore Talent is proud to partner with a respected healthcare organization in Sacramento, CA, to hire a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a rewarding and impactful full-time, direct-hire role. This position offers a dynamic blend of clinical care at our state-of-the-art facility and personalized in-home visits, making a real difference in the lives of older adults in our community.

 

Location: Sacramento, CA

Salary: $69,742–$87,360 (Dependent on Experience)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

Work Environment: 70% on-site at the center, 30% in-home visits (1–3 per day)

Mileage Reimbursement: Provided

 

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, the COTA will provide compassionate and high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include:

  • Administering therapy interventions as outlined in the OT’s plan of care.
  • Supporting development of participant-centered treatment goals.
  • Modifying treatment environments, tools, and activities to suit participant needs.
  • Collaborating with family members and caregivers to support daily living skills.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate clinical and progress notes.
  • Participating in coordinated care planning with healthcare professionals.
  • Providing education on therapeutic activities for participants and families.
  • Ensuring timely documentation within 24 hours of home visits.
  • Monitoring and maintaining therapy equipment and supplies.
  • Engaging in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation efforts.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active COTA certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and insurance
  • At least 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail populations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a COTA
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus!
