A forward-thinking energy company is seeking a Land Admin to support its Land department with document and data management, regulatory coordination, and process improvement initiatives. This role will involve working with various teams across existing assets and new acquisitions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and enhancing operational efficiency through technology and collaboration.
Duration: 6 months, re-evaluated after 6 months for extension
Location: Onsite in the Dallas/Fort Worth
Travel: 5% travel may be required
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate regulatory compliance for drilling and completion activities, including FAA filings, municipal and county permits, inspections, and well platting.

Manage the review and circulation of AFEs and related documents with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of land-related obligations, payments, and records.

Contribute to the automation of land data workflows to reduce manual work and enhance efficiency.

Maintain and quality-check land data across platforms such as Enertia, ODL, ThoughtTrace, iManage, and ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise.

Participate in process innovation efforts to improve data utilization and support strategic land initiatives.

Process and verify ownership attribute updates in land databases and workflows.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align data management practices and streamline operations.

Prepare, review, and maintain a wide range of land-related documents including leases, operating agreements, easements, surface use and carbon storage agreements, and acquisition contracts.

Conduct research on mineral, surface, and title ownership to support ongoing operations and potential acquisitions.

Assist with the intake, review, and organization of documentation related to new entity or asset acquisitions.

Provide general administrative support to the land team as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in land administration, regulatory compliance, or a related field within the energy or natural resources sectors.

Self-motivated professional with a track record of problem-solving and initiative.

Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.

Comfortable handling a wide range of tasks from routine to complex.

Committed to improving systems, processes, and data-driven workflows.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or Smartsheet required; experience with dashboard and data visualization tools is a plus.

Demonstrated expertise in document and data management.

Capable of supporting multiple teams and stakeholders simultaneously.

Experienced in managing or contributing to strategic and large-scale projects.
