HR Generalist – Contract
Contract Duration: June 2025 – March 2026 (9 months)
Potential for Full-Time Conversion
Schedule: Full-time, 32–40 hours/week- Hybrid, 1-2 days weekly onsite after initial training period.
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Compensation: $35-40/hr
Position Overview
Lakeshore Talent is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented HR professional with a strong background in payroll, benefits administration, and general HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Prepare proration calculations for new hires and terminations.
- Set up and audit time off accruals and balances.
- Conduct audits across multiple payroll batches, including regular and special payrolls (e.g., bonuses, severance, merit).
- Maintain supporting documentation for all payroll activity.
- Provide reports and guidance to supervisors and employees regarding time off usage and training.
- Manage PTO tracking and accuracy across employee classifications.
- Perform PTO adjustments related to short-term disability (STD) leaves.
HRIS and Employee Lifecycle Management
- Onboard new hires, including background checks, system setup, and internal communications.
- Set up benefit eligibility and coordinate with IT and internal teams.
- Administer employee terminations including final pay, PTO payouts, and system offboarding.
- Support timecard setup and training for new employees.
- Maintain accurate records in the HRIS for all changes, hires, and terminations.
Benefits Administration
- Reconcile and process vendor invoices and benefit bills.
- Manage qualifying life events and enrollment changes using iSolved.
- Administer employee benefits corrections and documentation collection.
- Coordinate leave paperwork including FMLA and STD; oversee related PTO usage.
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries, partnering with vendors as needed.
- Maintain and update employee benefits resources and self-service materials.
- Assist with open enrollment in collaboration with HR leadership.
401(k) Plan Administration
- Respond to alerts regarding loans, investments, and vendor communications.
- Address employee inquiries related to retirement plans.
- Support compliance processes including 5500 filings.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly and periodic reports including:
- Overtime and man-hour reports
- Headcount and turnover metrics
- PTO usage summaries
- Government compliance filings (e.g., BLS reporting)
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms (iSolved experience a plus).
- Familiarity with benefits administration, 401(k) processes, and leave management.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
