Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Medical Assistant to join a healthcare team in Lakewood, CO. This is a full-time, contract position covering PTO and staffing shortages, with a duration of 4 months. The role offers a great opportunity to support elderly patients in a clinical setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Lakewood, CO
- Contract Length: 4 months
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay Rate: $20.67 – $24.81/hour
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification (must be active prior to start)
- TB negative
- 1+ year of experience working with the frail and elderly population
- Proficient in medical terminology, phlebotomy functions, and EKGs
- Comfortable using Epic, MS Word, and Outlook
Job Summary:
The Clinical Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support in a healthcare clinic. You will play a vital role in supporting medical staff, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily participant flow with the clinical team
- Take vital signs and perform specimen collection (blood draws, finger sticks, pulse oximetry)
- Notify RN/Provider of abnormal findings
- Prepare and position participants for exams
- Assist with procedures, medication dispensing, and treatments (as trained)
- Schedule appointments and lab draws for internal and external providers
- Educate participants and share lab results as directed
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and manage inventory
- Perform charting, filing, and administrative clinic duties
- Complete weekly audits and ensure timely receipt of lab results
Onboarding Requirements:
- 4-panel drug screen
- Background check
- Proof of Medical Assistant program graduation
- TB clearance (negative result)
- Medical Free & Clear form
- Active BLS/CPR certification
- Completion of onboarding documents
