Vice President of Architecture & Engineering

Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a fast-growing national entertainment company to hire a Vice President of Architecture & Engineering. This is a newly created high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the creative and technical execution of immersive guest environments across the company’s parks. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice President will oversee a team of designers and engineers, managing concept-to-completion for all park and attraction builds.

 

Location: Remote – candidates must live near a major airport

Travel: Approximately 40% to locations across the U.S.

Salary Range: $180,000–$220,000 base salary

Bonus: Up to 25% of base salary, based on company performance metrics

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Creative Leadership

  • Define and evolve the creative vision, design standards, and architectural identity across all park locations and attractions
  • Lead innovation efforts in guest experiences through integration of trends, market data, and user research
  • Foster a culture of purposeful design, experimentation, and operational excellence

Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Direct structural and mechanical engineering efforts for all attractions and park infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards across multiple jurisdictions
  • Drive value engineering, cost optimization, and innovation in materials and technology

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with construction, operations, product, marketing, and franchise development teams to ensure alignment on build feasibility, design intent, and brand standards
  • Support scalable park expansion with cost-effective and innovative design solutions
  • Translate creative vision into executable projects that meet business and financial objectives

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 design and engineering professionals
  • Build and manage strong relationships with external vendors, agencies, and fabricators to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery
  • Establish and implement best-in-class processes for creative development, documentation, and project management

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in architecture, engineering, product design, themed entertainment, or attraction development
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong portfolio of built environments showcasing innovative, guest-centric design
  • Proficient in CAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, permitting, and national building codes
  • Proven success managing the full lifecycle of design-build projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
