Job Title: Billing Analyst

Location: Remote, United States

Employment Type: Temporary, 3-5 month contract

Pay Range: $30-32/hr

 

Job Overview: Lakeshore Talent is seeking a highly skilled Billing Analyst to join our client’s team. This position is crucial for the success of the tuition and revenue payments and billing function, emphasizing timely and accurate payment workflows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing complex billing processes, ensuring compliance, supporting data analysis, and participating in strategic initiatives to optimize billing and revenue operations. This role requires a strong understanding of business and billing processes, with a focus on process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Facilitation: Support the accurate and timely distribution of tuition and employer benefit payments across the payment marketplace, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Analysis & Invoicing: Analyze and organize large data sets to prepare timely and accurate invoices for customers.
  • Revenue Recording: Ensure that tuition, benefit, and revenue transactions are accurately recorded within both internal and external systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving specific data or billing issues and escalate to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
  • Invoice Distribution: Distribute invoices and partner files accurately and on time through the appropriate channels (email, file transfer, portal, etc.).
  • Compliance & Audit: Successfully execute on SOC 1 and other compliance and audit requirements, ensuring all billing processes meet regulatory standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive and productive work environment, supporting a collaborative team culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field; or 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a detail-oriented environment with high precision standards.
  • Self-Starter: Proven time-management skills with the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical, detailed, and process-oriented skills, with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate payments and revenue processes.
  • Technical Experience: Experience working with billing or payment systems, preferably in a financial or healthcare environment; previous experience with NetSuite is required
