Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client to hire an experienced CNC Operator / CNC Machinist. This role is responsible for operating CNC equipment to produce precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who take pride in craftsmanship, understand machining tolerances, and enjoy working in a collaborative production environment.

Shift: Tuesday – Saturday; 3:20pm – 2:00am
Location: Henderson, CO
Assignment Length: 4 months to start, with potential for extension or hire
Pay: $25-$29/hr, depending on experience (shift differential is included)

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently to produce precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Set up machines by mounting and aligning tooling and workpieces.
  • Load and run CNC programs from machine controllers or system databases.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect issues and ensure consistent performance.
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and machine settings as needed.
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
  • Ensure finished parts meet quality standards and geometric specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Support production needs by operating multiple machines when necessary.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of CNC machining/operator or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to perform shop math (fractions, decimals, conversions)
  • Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Experience maintaining tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
