Job Title: CCUS Project Scheduler
Location: Remote except for 25% travel to the sites (mostly TX, LA and CO)
Function: Project Management
Reports To: Project Controls Manager
Pay: $55 – $85 per hour depending on experince
Job Type: Long term Contract (rolling 6 month extensions)
Job Summary
The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to support the successful delivery of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) capital projects. This role focuses on schedule development, progress tracking, critical path analysis, and reporting to ensure projects are executed on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across all project phases
- Define work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, durations, and sequencing
- Incorporate key milestones, constraints, and deliverables
Schedule Monitoring & Analysis
- Update schedules based on project progress and team input
- Track baseline vs. actual performance and identify variances
- Monitor critical path and assess impacts of delays or changes
- Identify risks and support mitigation strategies
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare regular schedule reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Provide schedule insights to support project and leadership decision-making
Contractor Coordination
- Review and integrate contractor and vendor schedules
- Ensure alignment with overall project timelines and escalate conflicts
Systems & Tools
- Maintain scheduling systems and databases
- Support development of standardized scheduling practices and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
- 6–10 years of project scheduling experience in capital projects (energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure preferred)
- Experience supporting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of scheduling principles, including critical path and milestone tracking
- Proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
