Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a reputable Oil and Gas client out of Dallas, TX in their search for a Contract, Part-time Front Desk Receptionist. The position covers a wide variety of duties and requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The office support specialist ensures processes run efficiently, helps the team stay on track, and maintains a professional, welcoming atmosphere. The right candidate will be detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities with limited supervision.
Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday, 8am – 2pm, 22 hours/week (with occasional additional hours as needed)
Pay: $20-22/hr, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage office supply inventory; place orders and restock as needed.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure timely delivery of office needs, including general supplies, refreshments, and beverages.
- Keep the breakroom and kitchen stocked with essentials such as coffee, snacks, and utensils.
- Handle dishwasher use, including loading, running, and unloading.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
- Support communication efforts by helping distribute notices, memos, emails, and other internal materials.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries, working with facilities staff when necessary.
- Arrange for facility maintenance and service calls as needed.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with visitor check-in, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Keep the reception area neat and presentable.
- Answer incoming calls in a professional manner; direct them to the appropriate contact and take accurate messages when necessary.
- Provide information and respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Manage meeting room scheduling and ensure rooms are set up with the necessary resources.
- Provide administrative help to other teams as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of common office practices and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional, service-oriented approach with a positive demeanor.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; additional coursework in office administration or related areas preferred.
- At least two years of experience in an administrative or office support role preferred.
